A note from the President
Due to popular demand, we’re off to Lake Garda again! This year we are pleased to have Circolo vela Torbole in Northern Lake Garda as our hosts for the 3rd SB3 World Championships. Many of those who attended our first European Championships in 2005 just along the road in Riva del Garda will be back for another week in the sun, hopefully with buckets of the famous Ora pumping up from the south, but not until after lunchtime, allowing for the legendary lazy Garda mornings (and no doubt preceded by a few boisterous nights) in this idyllic setting.
The event will be preceded by a few weeks by the Italian Nationals at the same venue, on Friday to Sunday 25-27th June, and the host club will be working to facilitate as many early arrivals as they can, so do consider it as an opportunity to enjoy and acclimatise before the Main Event. We expect up to and maybe more than 100 boats, so do not forget the cut off for payment of the 31st March 2010. The entry fee includes a lot of extra stuff, including free booze and pasta on several nights, and the Grand Gala Prizegiving bash on the Friday night, when the third SB3 World Champion will be crowned.
